Medfield Children's Center is proud to offer Technology Pals® where children (ages 3-5) explore technology through hands-on discovery, build academic readiness skills, express creativity and develop self-confidence in small classes of about three students facilitated by a knowledgeable teacher. Miss Ellen has been coming to Medfield Children Center for 13 years. The children always look forward to her visits.

Medfield Children's Center is thrilled to "ROCK and ROLL" with music teacher extraordinaire Miss Elaine Kessler! With Miss Elaine's Music & Imagination program, the children learn new songs with some guitar accompaniment. Depending on the season, the children pretend to do different activities with songs and music at the core of the activity. The children dance with shakers, pretend to be popcorn with paper plates, skate in the Winter, use scarfs as leaves in the Fall or butterflies in the Spring. The children always look forward to her visits!!

Ms. Jessica has over 10 years’ experience as a teacher naturalist for Mass Audubon, and is our very own Nature Detective who has been coming to MCC for over 10 years.
Combining natural science with imaginative play, gross motor and kinesthetic exploration, students will gain a greater understanding of themselves and the world we live in. Wonder, enthusiasm, and curiosity define each visit and are led by the children’s interest and participation. Proprioceptive skills are nurtured and undercurrents of social themes such as acceptance, friendship, or courage are woven into the time shared together. Lesson topics span all seasons on a two-year rotation and are designed to highlight the ongoing cycles of nature found in our very own backyards. Created to be accessible and tailored to the cultural and developmental needs of the children, no one class is exactly like the other. To continue the exploration at home, each visit includes an e-newsletter to share with you, the family, describing the visit, list of recommended books and fun theme related facts |
